Mike Lee Speaks the Truth About the Minnesota As.s.as.sin

MAGA Senator Mike Lee Mocked for Absurdly Calling Dem Assassin 'Marxist'

In a week marred by unspeakable tragedy and political hypocrisy, Senator Mike Lee of Utah found himself at the center of a media firestorm—not for participating in violence, not for ignoring victims, but for doing what the mainstream media and progressive elite fear most: speaking the truth.

While Democrats scramble to craft a convenient narrative around the assassination of Minnesota House DFL Leader Melissa Hortman and the attempted murder of Senator John Hoffman and his wife, Senator Lee dared to call the attack what it was—ideologically motivated and born out of Marxist hatred, even if masked behind distorted facts and performative outrage.

Lee, a consistent conservative voice in the Senate and staunch supporter of President Donald Trump, shared a post that enraged the liberal establishment.

The senator posted an image of the alleged shooter, Vance Boelter, wearing a grotesque latex mask, accompanied by a chilling warning: “This is what happens when Marxists don’t get their way.”

That single sentence sent the left-wing social media machine into hysterics. Journalists, activists, and even members of Lee’s own chamber unleashed a torrent of vitriol, mockery, and accusations against the senator.

But the backlash itself revealed more about the state of America’s political and media class than it did about Mike Lee.

The reality is simple: America is under ideological siege. Conservatives are being targeted, smeared, and silenced not just in the media but increasingly with violence. The shootings in Minnesota were not isolated.

They are the latest in a troubling pattern of political violence fueled by radical ideology, and regardless of what the shooter once posted on social media or which party he was registered with decades ago, the evidence of his motivations tells a far deeper and disturbing story.

According to police reports, Boelter had in his possession a written hit list, naming multiple Democrats and abortion providers, suggesting an organized, ideological motive, potentially religious and political in nature.

While the left insists on framing this as the act of a rogue Trump supporter, the evidence points to an individual consumed by a complex and dangerous worldview that defies neat political categorization—but certainly borrows heavily from far-left radicalism cloaked in performative contradiction.

Yet instead of investigating the ideological roots of this tragedy, Democrats have decided that the real villain here is not the man who pulled the trigger, but the man who told the truth about why it happened.

In Lee’s case, they went a step further—accusing him of politicizing tragedy, promoting misinformation, and even calling him “disgusting,” “unhinged,” and worse.

Nina Turner, a progressive activist and failed political candidate, went as far as accusing Lee of using the tragedy to push a “political agenda,” without for a moment acknowledging that nearly every Democrat from the White House down had done the same after previous mass shootings.

Suddenly, asking hard questions and pointing out possible ideological motivation is “beyond the pale” if you're a conservative.

Meanwhile, President Trump has remained firm and composed in the face of both violence and slander. He has continued to focus on restoring law and order, strengthening national security, and supporting law enforcement’s efforts to bring the assassin and his accomplices to justice.

While former President Biden placed a call to Governor Tim Walz within hours of the shooting, President Trump offered something far more powerful: a renewed commitment to ensuring this kind of political violence is not tolerated in his America.

His silence toward Walz was not negligence—it was a message. A message that weak leadership, lawlessness, and permissive attitudes toward radicalism have consequences.

Walz, who has long positioned himself as a moderate Democrat, has overseen some of the most catastrophic failures in recent Minnesota history. From his feckless handling of the George Floyd riots in 2020 to his gross mismanagement of public safety resources, Walz has time and again placed ideology over action.

His administration has spent years enabling crime, defunding law enforcement, and cozying up to activist groups while ignoring the rising threat of ideological extremism on both sides.

His political grandstanding now rings hollow. While he courts media sympathy, real leaders like Pete Hegseth and Donald Trump are working behind the scenes to make America safe again.

It’s also worth noting that while the mainstream media scrambled to discredit Mike Lee’s Marxist assertion, few were asking the most obvious questions.

Why was a man like Vance Boelter—clearly disturbed and operating with a violent mission—able to plan, arm, and execute such an attack? Where were the state-level safety measures?

Why was the Department of Homeland Security not monitoring known political extremists, regardless of party? Instead, media organizations rushed to dig up dated voter records and cherry-picked statements from Boelter’s roommate to build a flimsy defense that he was a “strong Trump supporter,” despite a radicalized hit list, facial disguises, and years of untraceable online activity.

Let us be clear. Mike Lee is not just a senator. He’s one of the few truth-tellers left in Washington, and his willingness to call out ideological extremism—whether from Marxist radicals, religious fanatics, or rogue agents of chaos—should be praised, not punished.

Letter: Lee and his pals have chosen to undermine our judicial system. They don't represent the majority of Americans.

The hysterical response to his post reveals how desperate the Democrats are to keep Americans from connecting the dots. If Boelter had been a conservative targeting progressive leaders, there would be no nuance, no room for debate.

The same networks now defending Boelter’s past political leanings would be labeling this an insurrectionist act, part of a broader far-right terrorist movement. But because the narrative is inconvenient, they accuse anyone who sees the truth of “disinformation.”

What Lee did was shine a flashlight into the shadows that Democrats hope the public never sees. He reminded Americans that ideology matters, that motivations are important, and that we cannot turn a blind eye to radicalism simply because it comes from a corner the media favors. His words should be a wake-up call, not a scandal.

And if his rhetoric seemed sharp, it’s because the times demand clarity, not cowardice. America has spent years under siege by movements that demand conformity, label dissent as hate speech, and elevate the loudest bullies in the room to cultural sainthood.

While Democrats pour $20,000,000 into initiatives like SAM (Speaking with American Men), hoping to reclaim the demographic they’ve spent years ridiculing, leaders like Mike Lee speak directly to the people who feel ignored, vilified, and endangered by a system rigged against them.

What happened in Minnesota is horrifying. But it is also deeply political. Not because conservatives want it to be, but because violence motivated by ideology always is.

Boelter's actions may not fit neatly into the Democrat-preferred version of reality, but that doesn’t make them less real. And if we’re not willing to confront every aspect of that reality—including the possibility that today’s radical left has grown comfortable with violence—then we are doomed to repeat this tragedy again and again.

The real problem isn’t Mike Lee. It’s the media-industrial complex that refuses to let Americans think for themselves. It’s the Democratic Party, which would rather chase shadows of January 6 than confront the consequences of their own rhetoric.

And it’s weak leaders like Governor Tim Walz, who have allowed their state to become a laboratory for the very lawlessness they now claim to mourn.

Mike Lee is not afraid. He’s not backing down. And neither should any American who sees the truth through the fog of media spin and political manipulation.

The events in Minnesota should not be buried beneath partisan talking points and carefully curated headlines. They should be exposed, examined, and confronted with courage. That’s what Senator Mike Lee did. And that’s what more leaders should do—before it’s too late.
